New Oping Peam Popech Village Preschool Building and Toilet

On 14th August 2020, with the cooperation from Kampong Chhnang POE and chul kiri DOE officers, CYK staffs have met and discussed with committee members on the construction of building for new village preschool in Peam Popech Primary School, at Peam Popech village, Koh Thkov commune, Chul Kiri district, Kampong Chhnang province.

With the financial support from JICHIRO FUKUOKA, in Japan and the cooperation from Kampong Chhnang POE and Chul Kiri DOE officers, CYK provided fund for the construction of building and toilet (US$5,700) for new village preschool in Peam Popech Primary school located at Peam Popech village, Koh Thkov commune, Chul Kiri district, Kampong Chhnang province. The construction was started on 15th September and will be completely finished in 3rd November 2020.

From 1st to 20th December 2019, the training was conducted by CYK childcare advisor and childcare team for two new teachers from Tropeang Pring and Peam Popech village, Kampong Chhnang province at CYK office. During the training, teachers learnt how to manage administration works (class decoration/preparation, book record and document preparation, class development and planning, and report making, etc.), teaching technic (the usage of monthly curriculum, the way to teach on 10 subject, teaching/learning materials production and the regular practice of 5Y old children’s test), and additional knowledge on community preschool service, children right, children needs and teaching, and communication skill, etc.

One 28th December 2020, with the cooperation of preschool managing committee members, Chul Kiri DOE officer, CYK’s childcare team and teachers could decorate class, set up hand washing place, start registration and prepare ready for opening, operation and managing this new village preschool.

The official opening ceremony for this preschool was organized on 11th January 2021 and total … children have chance to get early childhood care and education for their physical and mental development.
